  • Philosophy

I believe in the innate resilience and potential within every individual. Drawing from the concept of Salutogenesis (an approach focusing on factors that promote well-being, rather than disease), I emphasize the importance of nurturing a sense of coherence—helping individuals find comprehensibility, manageability, and meaningfulness in their lives. Most essential to this, is the strengthening of one's capacity to reflect. As Carl Jung insightfully noted, 'Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.' The practice of reflection serves as a catalyst for generating valuable insights and wisdom that can contribute to your well-being.

    Approach

I follow an integrative approach with a concentrated focus on understanding the pivotal role of thoughts, recognizing levels of awareness, interpreting emotions as valuable indicators, and fostering common sense about the connection between thoughts and experiences. Clients benefit from this approach by gaining clarity, feeling enabled to work in an intentional way towards improved emotional health. I use several modalities, including Contemplative Psychotherapy (CP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Somatic Experiencing, Trauma-Focused and Informed Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and other holistic therapies to support healing and growth.
