PHILOSOPHY
I believe every person carries an inherent dignity and the capacity to grow. Life’s challenges, whether born of trauma, loss, or conflict, do not diminish our worth; they awaken the possibility of understanding ourselves more fully and meeting life with greater depth.
Therapy is not about repairing what is broken but rediscovering what remains whole. A salutogenic perspective asks how we cultivate well-being, coherence, and meaning rather than merely avoid distress. The mind, body, and spirit form a living unity, each shaping and reflecting the other. As awareness deepens, we begin to move from reactivity to reflection, from self-protection to participation in life’s unfolding.
Healing is an act of becoming, of reclaiming agency and awakening the capacities that allow us to live with presence, purpose, and compassion.
My approach is integrative and experiential. It combines evidence-based therapies with a reflective process that helps you understand what is happening in your mind and body in real time. I view self-reflection as essential to emotional regulation; as awareness deepens, you begin to relate differently to your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. In session, we pay attention to how feelings register in the body, how patterns take shape in relationships, and how meaning arises from lived experience.
I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Trauma-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based approaches to support nervous system regulation and emotional awareness. This means we work not only with thoughts and behaviors, but with sensations and underlying emotional states. As you learn to observe these internal processes, new ways of understanding and responding begin to emerge.
Over time, therapy helps you develop a sense of steadiness and coherence. You gain the ability to navigate stress with perspective, relate to others with greater authenticity, and move through life with intention and clarity.
APPROACH
Everyone’s path to therapy is unique. Whether you’re facing a specific challenge or seeking deeper self-awareness, therapy provides a space to explore, heal, and grow. Here are some common reasons people seek counseling.
Emotional & Psychological Well-Being
Struggles with anxiety, depression, mood instability, or trauma can feel overwhelming, leaving you stuck in cycles of stress, burnout, or self-doubt. Therapy offers tools to regulate emotions, process unresolved pain, and develop resilience. Whether you are navigating grief, major life transitions, or existential concerns about meaning and purpose, healing is possible.
Behavioral & Cognitive Patterns
Negative thought cycles, perfectionism, procrastination, or difficulty setting boundaries can keep you stuck in unhelpful habits. Therapy helps reframe limiting beliefs, develop emotional flexibility, and strengthen the ability to make intentional, values-driven choices.
Relationships & Interpersonal Growth
Communication struggles, conflict, or attachment wounds can create emotional distance in relationships - whether with partners, family, or friends. Therapy helps address relational patterns, strengthen trust, and foster deeper connections. For parents, guidance is available to navigate co-parenting, blended families, and child-rearing challenges with greater clarity and confidence.
Personal Growth & Life Transitions
Major life changes—such as career shifts, aging, relocation, or adjusting to new roles—can bring uncertainty and emotional strain. Therapy provides a space to explore your identity, strengthen self-awareness, and cultivate a sense of purpose. Through practical strategies and deeper reflection, you can navigate transitions with clarity and confidence.
Mind-Body Connection & Wellness
Emotional well-being is deeply linked to physical health. Stress, chronic pain, sleep disturbances, and body image concerns can take a toll on overall wellness. Therapy integrates mind-body strategies to restore balance, improve emotional regulation, and build a healthier relationship with yourself.
